Landed in Arusha, Tanzania (just below the center point of the clock in the above image) and just arrived at my hotel.

Having a celebratory beer before I crash. The beer is room temperature because that’s all the hotel has available at this late time (restaurant is closed), but I’ll gladly take it and enjoy it. 24 hours traveling is a bit of a grind, but well worth it.

The city of Arusha is putting on a nice fireworks show to celebrate. Can’t provide a good picture since trees here at the hotel are obscuring a lot of the spectacle. Plus I didn’t get the camera out until the last boom.
